Japanese TAs
So in my Japanese class there are these two TAs, I am not sure if they are considered TAs, they are students but like, they weren't forced to be there just asked if they wanted to. They are both from Japan and their names are Sae and Kasumi. These two are really helpful in my studies, as they are both from the country they can teach me things in and out of the classroom, they've helped me study for an exam and even taught me how to casually talk with people in Japanese, unlike the extremely formal speech we are currently learning as of now. They are really great people, and great friends, and they have both helped a lot to make this year better.

Fallacies
Learning about fallacies is interesting, while I have seen these in real life, I never knew that they actually had a name to them. Now when I read articles or listen to a speech by a politician or anybody that is attempting to persuade anybody I can tell what they are doing wrong and it's quite satisfying. Doing the conspiracy theories is the most fun to be honest, they are so out there and, in all honesty, insane. Thus making them the more fun!

All nighters
All nighters are fun, you get to do things that you want to do and have no restriction on how long you do it. However, they can also be stressful if you're staying up to do a homework assignment or studying for a really big exam. Throughout my time at school I have learned that pulling all nighters on a school day is horrible. You'll feel like crap during classes and you'll miss so much, and you might fall asleep. As for exams it's actually better to sleep and be on your A-game instead of being really tired and unable to focus. All of this is based on experience because last year I pulled all nighters for no reason all the time, and I hated myself for it usually. I would just like to pass on this information to you, would be reader, that if you have class the next day, maybe manage your time a bit better, and go to sleep, it's good for you.

Persuasion
Starting our third project on a research paper we decided to discuss how arguments basically work. This was actually pretty interesting because a lot of it I never actually thought about, and I sat down and thought about what was discussed and class and I realized how often all of these poor arguments are used. Whether it be by me, my peers, or even a famous politician. I wish we could do more things like this, a class like this was a bit more enjoyable for me.
KIA
So for the past week during DEARTS class we had to go to the KIA, Kalamazoo Institute of Art. I went a total of three times, twice with DEARTS and once with my friend, Sarah. She really wanted to go so I decided that we should go together, and to be honest if you're at all interested in art or looking at cool things you should go, admission is free and it doesn't take too long to really go around the entire thing. However, when you go for a class it sucks because you're forced to look at specific things instead of what you want to see.
Movie and Song analysis
So lately in class we've been talking about our analysis on our movie and song and turning it into an essay. Personally I don't like this at all, the song is really difficult to talk about for how long it needs to be, the movie is alright, but still seems more difficult than it should be, granted it doesn't have to be super easy. I just wish we could do an assignment that I would enjoy a bit more that didn't have so many restrictions.
